Carrier Rental Systems has provided a "Hot Tapping" Service as part of a Cooling Rental Package - to supply a commercial office in Central London with Temporary Air Conditioning.

Office Air Conditioning Customer Requirement:

A Facilities Management contractor asked the specialist Air Conditioning Hire provider - Carrier Rental Systems to provide an Air Conditioning Hire solution for their commercial offices in London. The site had 3 x 1,250kw McQuay chillers on site, two of these had failed and they needed a plan to maintain cooling during the summer. This solution was important due to the high ambient and the critical nature of the on site data suit, without the cooling system they would not be able to continue to operate their business. "Hot Tapping" would be required as there were no chilled water connection points and shutting the system down was not an option.

Bespoke Rental Package in London:

Our Sales Director arranged to meet the client that morning to discuss the requirements and how to install a system without any down time; CRS's solution was to provide a 1,250kw chiller, with 6" Flexible pipe work connecting into the system via 6" Hot Taps and suitable power cables.

Planned Response from Carrier Rental Systems:

The solution was agreed with the client and it was agreed that we would deliver their Air Conditioning Hire Package via HIAB lorry to London the same day as the "Hot Tapping" was commissioned and the plant was installed successfully to provide summer cooling.
